The right to privacy and free speech is protected by law in all western countries. In Britain and Europe by the European Convention on Human Rights; in North America by the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms (section 2) and in the US by the Bill of Rights of 1791; and around the world by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (article 19), and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. The right to privacy and to free speech has been affirmed by all members of the United Nations as a basic human right. This was made international law by the United Nations General Assembly resolution 217 A (III) of 10 December 1948. Respecting privacy and free speech rights is also the ethical and moral means through which all individuals can work to better the whole of society.

In accordance with United States law 18 U.S.C. 1030(a)(2)(C), 18 USC 2510, 18 U.S.C. § 2510(21) (A) and (B) and similar nearly identical laws in many other countries
notably Britain, Germany, France,Canada, Japan, Brazil, and the Netherlands, the following represents a general notice of the TERMS OF USE AND EULA for this site:

  1. Your name must not be Armondo, Eustace, or Anabelle. Should you suffer the misfortune of having one of said names, you have my deep sympathy, but are none the less prohibited from accessing this site. In this I am emulating wise and just laws such as those indicated above, which give corporations and government the right to restrict access to information based solely upon a person's name.
     
  2. You agree that nothing on this site contains criticism or disparagement of anyone or anything, but rather any such misinterpretation is due entirely to your own misapprehension(s) and possible inability to read between the lines whilst, to paraphrase the poet Alexander Pope, foolishly attempting to break a butterfly upon the wheel.

You and/or your representatives and/or descendants or antecedents known or unknown agree to hold the author or authors of any material on this site or its approved (by me) derivatives blameless and free in perpetuity and to take no action of any kind against the author(s) or site(s) for any reason or reasons whatsoever and do further agree that all material on this site is editorial in nature, protected by copyright, and by fair use, and that any relation or reference or implication to anyone or anything known or unknown in the past, present, or future is purely coincidental and has no relation to any person, entity, organization, thing, or alien hive mind living or dead or pretending to be.

You agree that should a court find that some provisions of these TERMS OF USE AND EULA are unenforceable, incomprehensible, shock the conscience of decent people, or are a violation of the Geneva Convention, that/those provision(s) shall still be in effect and that you are bound by them in perpetuity. (A big tip 'o the hat here to certain large software corporations for this prima facie.)
